Position:- Transport Supervisor

PMV Department

Work Location:- Saudi Arabia

CLIENTS INTERVIEW IN CHENNAI ON 29.03.2018 (THURSDAY)

Job Description:-

The main purpose of the Operations Supervisor's job is to manage PMV operations in an efficient and timely manner, complying with ESEC's standards of quality, and timing.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:-

1) Accountable for monitoring and documenting the utilization of fleet resources (operators, equipment, and tools) on site and ensuring that this utilization is in line with the planned / agreed utilization and in respect of equipment and tool utilization standards (proper handling, use, and down-times of the equipment, etc)

2) Ensures all fleet assets are properly tagged and licensed

3) Prepares the accident claims to be sent to administration and follow up on repairs.

4) Follows up on third party repairs.

5) Accountable for the mobilization and demobilization (hire of hire) of fleet assets.

6) Ensures that a qualified driver / operator is ready to be transferred with asset

7) Accountable for the timely and accurate reporting of equipment (including rentals) and tools status on site

8) Interacts with fleet operators and drivers for daily operational matters

9) Assists the Transport & Operations Manager in fleet mobilization , and fleet demobilization

10) Manages and controls the timesheets of fleet staff on project sites (Fleet Coordinators, Drivers, Operators, Repair Crews etc. )

11) Provides support for the professional development (including training) of direct reports

12) Allocates driver assignments, ensuring compliance with safety standards

13) Arranges the replacement of drivers on site, and approves their vocations.

14) Acts as the first point of contract for all drivers

15) Ensures all vehicles are maintained in top working order

16) Provides support for the professional development (including training) of direct reports.

COMMUNICATIONS AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS;-

1) Reports to and supports the Transport & Operations Manager on all operational matters

2) Coordinates with operations on fleet mobilization / demobilization

3) Interacts with and manages direct reports and operational issues on a daily basis

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:-

1) Diploma in a related field

2) Excellent knowledge of the construction industry, ideally, has held a PMV role within a construction company

3) Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communications, and negotations skills

4) Minimum of 5 Years experience in Supply Chain / PMV in a comparable sized operation to ESEC

5) Experience in the Middle East is a strong plus

6) Good writing and IT skills

7) Fluent in English and preferably Arabic Language
